It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to anyone under 18. You must be 18 or over to order, and ID is checked at pickup and delivery.

Terms and conditions

Last updated 28 October 2026

The short version: you must be 18 or over. Alcohol ordered through Liquor Scanner is sold by Counties Inn Liquor Centre under its off-licence. Photo ID is checked at pickup and delivery, and no ID means no handover. If the store can't fill your order, you get a full refund.

Who we are

Liquor Scanner is an app and website operated by DM Enterprises Limited (NZBN 9429051159702), 63 Wright Road, RD 2, Pukekohe 2677 ("Liquor Scanner", "we", "us").

Alcohol ordered through Liquor Scanner is sold and supplied by Avtar Singh & Sons Pvt Limited, trading as Counties Inn Liquor Centre, 21 Paerata Road, Pukekohe, Auckland 2120, under off-licence 007/OFF/279/2026 ("the store"). The store is the seller of every product you order, and the store's name appears on your receipt.

By using Liquor Scanner or placing an order, you agree to these terms. They are governed by New Zealand law.

Age

You must be 18 or over to use Liquor Scanner and to place an order. When you order, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the person receiving the order is 18 or over.

It is an offence under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 to buy or supply alcohol for someone under 18. We may close an account if we believe it is being used to supply alcohol to a minor.

Price comparison

Liquor Scanner shows prices collected from New Zealand liquor stores so you can compare them. These prices are for information. Other stores' prices can change without notice, may be out of date, and may not include in-store specials. We do our best to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee them.

Liquor Scanner only takes orders for the store named above. The price you pay is the store's price shown at checkout.

Placing an order

  • Your order is an offer to buy from the store. It becomes a contract when the store accepts it.
  • The store may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock, the order can't be delivered legally at the requested time, or the store has concerns about age or intoxication.
  • If the store declines your order or does not accept it in time, the order is cancelled and your payment is refunded in full.
  • The total shown at checkout includes the products, any delivery fee and the card processing fee. That total is the amount charged.
  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.

Payment

Card payments are processed by our payment providers on a secure payment page. Liquor Scanner never sees or stores your full card number. Your payment is made to the store as the seller.

An order is only treated as paid once our system has confirmed the payment with the payment provider.

Pickup

Pickup is from the store during its opening hours, Monday to Sunday, 10am to 9pm. Bring your order code and valid photo ID. Staff will not hand over an order to anyone who can't show valid photo ID showing they are 18 or over, or who appears to be intoxicated.

Delivery

  • Deliveries are only made to addresses in the store's delivery area, shown in the app.
  • No deliveries are made between 11pm and 6am, or on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, or before 1pm on Anzac Day.
  • The driver checks the photo ID of the person receiving the order, records that ID was sighted, and asks for a signature.
  • The driver will not hand over the order if the person receiving it can't show valid photo ID showing they are 18 or over, appears to be intoxicated, or appears to be buying for someone under 18. The order is then returned to the store. See our refunds page for what happens next.
  • Please make sure someone 18 or over is at the address to receive the order. Orders are never left unattended.

Accepted forms of ID

A current New Zealand driver licence, a passport, or a Kiwi Access Card (formerly the 18+ Card). These are the evidence of age documents recognised under New Zealand law.

Cancellations and refunds

How cancellations, refunds and problems with an order are handled is set out on our refunds and returns page, which forms part of these terms.

Your rights under New Zealand law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Products must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for purpose.

Using the app

  • Keep your login details private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
  • Don't misuse Liquor Scanner, interfere with how it works, or collect data from it automatically.
  • We may update the app, change features, or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Liquor Scanner is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for prices shown for other stores. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
